I Fell

I could find trouble even in my Sunday best
Hell fire on the lords day of rest
Wrong turns in my life are plan to see
But how I wound up with you is a mystery
Don’t know how I fell into lovein’ you
Don’t know how I fell into lovein’ you
For me the rule would break before they’d bend
And even if I could sit down I’d be on the hot seat again
Trouble follow me where ever I go
So how I wound up with you I’ll never know
Don’t know how I fell into lovein’ you
Don’t know how I fell into lovein’ you
I can still see your face, the first time we met
There was something in your eyes that I will never forget
And I can still hear your voice, when you first spoke my name
But there is no thing I will never know, that’s how you can feel the same
You make your own luck at least that’s what they say
But I’ve never been good with my hand that way
Wrong turns in my life are plan to see
But how I wound up with you is a mystery
Don’t know how I fell into lovein’ you
Don’t know how I fell into lovein’ you

When your young you live, summer to summer
and in-between you do the things your suppose to do
you drink your milk and you get good grades
listen to your mother and don’t stay out to late
all the time your wondering’ what’s gonna happen
as you grow you live heart ache to heart ache
and in-between you do the things that you want to do
you can hear them talkin’ but not what they say
you know in your own time you’ll find your own way
all the time your wondering’ what’s gonna happen
I know, that life is hard
and decisions are easy to make
it all depends on the path that you take
a little bit older now, you live year to year
and in-between you do the things you have to do
get to bed early, get to work by 9
you only know your friends on the telephone line
all the time your wondering’ well how did this happen
a little bit wiser now, you live miracle to miracle
and in-between you do the thing that you need to do
first your married and then your expecting
the last thing you ever expected to happen
all the time your wondering’ well how did this happen
chorus
I guess the key is just to live day by day
and in-between you do the things you believe you should do
the world is yours it’s all up to you
just leave it a little better then the one you came into
and don’t spend to much time wondering what’s gonna happen
no you shouldn't spend to much time wondering what’s gonna happen

By Heart

If I am lonely
I think of your touch
and know what it means
to miss you that much
when I’m unhappy
I remember the times
you told me you loved me
and know I’ll just fine
If I said I you
know that I do
If you look in my eyes
you’ll know that it’s true
if there’s one thing that
keeps me going while we’re apart
it’s the fact that I know
every inch of your face by heart
If I am angry
I think of your smile
and lose myself
in your arms for awhile
and if you find
the world too much to bare
look over your shoulder
and find me standing

Johnsons' Creek
04:58
|
|||
Rain fall silent,
thunder is her voice
storm turn violent,
by nature not by choice
but I will stand my ground,
as the rain run down my face
fears will slowly drown,
to everything it’s place
No time wasted,
on a journey once begun
that not tasted,
will soon begin to run
soon it fills up Johnson’s creek
and runs past Miller’s field
when good earth is washed away,
secrets are reveled
I want to live my life like Johnson’s creek,
It knows not where it goes
In want to feel her stones beneath my feet,
Grow stronger as it flows
I want to live my life like Johnson’s creek,
May rise and it may fall
But come morning when it reach the sea,
It’s missed nothing at all
It’s touched every mile
Path is turning,
it follows no design
never certain,
but never falls behind
running, twisting wild and free,
but safe here in her banks
learn to never take for granted,
and always to give thanks
It’s touched every mile
It’s seen everything

Down This Road

We’ve been down this road
I know we’ve been here before
everything look so familiar
I don’t even need the tour
We’ve been down this road
seems like yesterday
I can still hear you talking
without a damn thing to say
all day listening
you put me in my place
from scream to whispering
it never seem to end
until your blue in the face
We’ve been down this road
one too many times it seems
you say the same things over and over
but I still don’t know what you mean
We’ve been down this road
you tell me what and why
but I ain’t listening’ to you no more
I’m gonna live until the day I die
I gave you everything
you take and ask for more
you leave me wondering
if this is what you call love,
god what could be instore
We’ve been down this road
it may seem new to you
but that because you pay no attention
to the things that you say or do
We’ve been down this road
We’ve been down this road
We’ve been down this road
We’ve been down this road

Messerly & Ewing Cincinnati, Ohio
When Mark Messerly and Brian Ewing went on hiatus, it wasn’t even official. Cincy band Wussy kept Messerly busy and Ewing had a similar schedule with Catalog Cowboys. But somehow they still found time to do acoustic gigs. In 2009, the pair resolved to celebrate their 15th year together by adding Sean Rhiney and Bill Donabedian as their backing band and turn up the volume. ... more
